The Clinical Supervisor and Preceptor will be responsible for practice based instructor Licensed  Healthcare Educator within our Community, Healthcare and Human Services Program Evaluation and instruction of trainee Master Clinician  and Paraprofessional Staff, Interns, admin duties competencies, clinical direction of assessment and direct treatment services. Implementation and monitoring  of  clinical program training and will assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of a comprehensive quality-assurance programming for staff and interns.  Conducts Utilization Review, initial intake assessments, 90-day reassessments as needed for the patient to maintain in program services. Monitoring and following up with all clinician’s clinical documentation meaning medical necessary for patients in all programming. As team lead to training implementation for our Outpatient programs and best practices, the Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing direct practice clinical training, and personnel training. The Clinical Supervisor and Preceptor provides ongoing supervision with staff to go over treatment plans and to perform a reevaluation of the patient’s plan of care when appropriate. The Clinical Supervisor will also ensure that there is adequate training and supervision regarding diagnosing, assessment and  documentation to maintain and sustain quality care in the Individual Therapy, Couple Therapy, Family Therapy,  Groups Therapy, Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT),  Recovery Support Services ( RSS) and other programs and services.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED AND EXPERIENCE: 

Required Master’s in mental health psych nursing,   mental health  counseling , social work, psychology, preferred with a experience working with the youth and families, intellectually disabled or developmentally disabled population, with two (2) years’ in an administrative or supervisory role overseeing and understanding level of care OR three (3) years in a supervisory capacity. 

Must be licensed or license eligible with the following minimum qualifications & education preferred:(1)   Except as otherwise provided in 105 CMR 140.530(C)(2)

      Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Children or Family)

  • Master’s degree in psychiatric nursing( NP) ,from an accredited college or university and allowing for Massachusetts license as certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
  1. Psychologists 
  • Doctoral degree in psychology (Ph.D., PsyD, EdD) from an accredited college or university and certification as a Health Service Provider (HSP) by the Board of Registration of Psychology in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts 
  1. Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers (LICSW or LCSW) 
  • Master’s degree or higher in social work from an accredited college or university     
  1. Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC) 
  • Master’s degree in the mental health field (including, but not restricted to, counseling, family therapy, psychology, etc.) from an accredited college or university
  1. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) 
  • Master’s degree in the mental health field (including, but not restricted to, counseling, family therapy, psychology, etc.) from an accredited college or university

AND 

Currently eligibility for professional licensure in the State of MA required 

  • and be willing to be trained as an MA Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst and has obtained License Applied Behavior Analysis (LABA) MA Licensure, OR
  • Currently holds Applied Behavior Analysis (BCBA) certification, or be eligible, OR
  • Currently in a program eligible for Applied Behavior Analysis (BCBA) certification
  • Candidate must be currently licensed in the State of Massachusetts 
  • Must be Culturally and Linguistically competent, bilingual a plus; Haitian Creole, Portuguese Creole, Spanish, Cantonese, or Vietnamese. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Provides Clinical and Administrative instruction via training and supervision to master’s and paraprofessional level staff to ensure best practice methods are implemented into treatment 
  • Develops, implements, and modifies, as necessary, client treatment plans.
  • Must understand the medical necessity and be able to diagnose and assess patients
  • Collaborates with Quality Assurance and Support Coordinator and Health Care Administration Specialists to oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of comprehensive quality assurance compliance in policies and procedures including training, hiring, and termination of clinical staff
  • Oversee 4 to 6 interns annually as will as program direct care staff 
  • Provides coverage for Clinician,  Intake Clinician, Community Support Director and  Behavioral Health Department Clinical Program Manager
  • Trains in and applies fidelity regarding process notes, treatment plans, assessments, and discharge plans
  • Provides and trains on providing on behavioral interventions using evidence-based practice (crisis intervention, behavioral activation, problem-solving treatment, motivational interviewing, or other treatments as appropriate)
  • Develops, implements, and conducts over the phone and face to face initial evaluation interviews; assesses client’s presenting problems and formulates a diagnosis
  • Provide high-quality clinical assessments with excellent customer service skills
  • Clinician Screens and triages patients who request services are referred or meet screening criteria for identifying patients’ needs.
  • Clinicians Identify patient’s programs and treatment needs fit into programs and streamline care into programs. 
  • Clinician Provide crisis management for clients, including on-call, and school consults; makes recommendations for interventions as appropriate
  • Participates in continuing education activities, remaining knowledgeable in area(s) of expertise, and meets requirements for professional staff membership
  • Attends meetings as appropriate and meets regularly with supervisor to exchange pertinent information and receive supervision on client treatment plans
  • Clinician Provides behavioral health coaching, crisis management, including on-call consults, makes recommendations for interventions as appropriate in call center as Telehealth Clinician 
  • Provides diagnostic evaluation, Assessment behavioral health skill and psycho-education groups and holistic support interventions in the community 
  • Acquires and maintains knowledge of human development and utilizes age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate activities in treatment
  • Participates in continuing education activities, remaining knowledgeable in area(s) of expertise, and meets requirements for professional staff 
  • 24/7 phone crisis response via phone

SALARY & BENEFITS:

  • Annual (Exempt) Salary: $68,000 to  $87,000 
  • QSEHRA Health Reimbursement Plan ($400 per month allowance)
  • Eligible upon 90th day of full-time (32-40 hours a week) employment.
