JOB SUMMARY:
Curriculum Coordinator instructional three classes per semester classes and oversees research, evaluate, and implement teaching strategies and materials and coordinate curriculums between classes. Design, implement and evaluate programs for teaching faculty development. Visit classrooms to provide support for teachers and help them improve teaching methods. Works with pathways Administrative staff in selecting curricula, creating curricula, implementing curricula, monitoring student performance data, training and evaluating teachers. Education Coordinator will demonstrate an understanding and application of all health care education standards principles and procedures, guide Curriculum and classrooms to meet board standards and support instructional faculty by assisting with educational instruction activities and implementation of designated healthcare teaching and will lead the designated skill set/project. Assist with finding funding opportunities and compliance with funders.

Bilingual a plus; Haitian Creole, Portuguese Creole, Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, or Cambodian

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Facilitates meetings, employee orientation and development experiences regarding Curriculum Coordinator instructional content.
  • Coordinate monthly new hire orientation
  • Develop and design training handouts, including workbooks, guides and other materials needed.
  • Lead for Curriculum Coordinator instructional with the design of programs for high potentials online classes
  • Graph and analyze data collected based on academic goals and objectives
  • Facilitate state assessment administration for students on the diploma and certificate tracks
  • Work collaboratively with behavior faculty
  • Provide support and consultation to teachers concerning curriculum development and implementation
  • Curriculum and Instruction:
    • Manage, support, evaluate and supervise projects and project agreements, such as course development, assigned to staff
    • Understand healthcare educational and English as second language standards MA, NC FL and ensure curriculum in all content areas align with the standards
    • Evaluate curriculum efficacy using course rubric, applicable standards, and sound pedagogical practices
    • Ensure that the curriculum addresses organization and site needs with the equitable implementation
    • Develop challenging, motivating, a relevant and accessible curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments that provide multiple opportunities to achieve mastery of skills and standards so students with varying abilities and cultural backgrounds can continually progress
    • Support the ongoing development of (course creation and maintenance, analytics, SIS integration)
  • Apply current and relevant technology-based improvements and solutions as needed Professional Development:
    • Assist, advise, and train teachers and developers with instructional design, graphic design, and
    • LMS implementation
    • Provide on-going virtual and face-to-face professional development to support teachers in Instructional pedagogy
    • Growing classroom practice and teacher growth
    • Developing and improving curriculum in a collaborative manner
    • Measure mastery of content standards by students
    • Work in multiple subject areas and multiple classrooms to support teaching staff to implement new curriculum and assess its effectiveness for staff and students
    • Organize and lead professional development workshops and in-service training in multiple instructional area(s)
  • Collaboration With Others:
    • Communicate at the highest levels with all stakeholders
    • Develop organizational short range and long range goals supporting activities
    • Collaborate with learning support and professional development teams to share ideas and provide strategic support to principals and school sites
    • Maintain organizational integrity and climate maintenance of all sites
    • Institute and maintain continuous improvement of instructional staff
    • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Required: Master’s degree in, Adult Education, Curriculum Instruction or closely related field. Must have experience in education, curriculum and instruction, teaching curriculum design, instructional theory, and collecting and analyzing data.
  • Must have instructional coordinators and curriculum experience professionals must have several years of teaching experience.
  • Professional Vocational Technical Teacher License
  • Professional Vocational Technical Administrator license:
    • Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL) Licensure of Adult Basic Education Teachers or Guidance Counselors requirements only
