Vocational Pathways Education Coordinator



Vocational Pathways Education Coordinator will maintain overall responsibility for Developing, creating vocational, educational and recreational activities and services that will lead to improving activities of daily living and social skills of the people they are working with. Supervise daily program activities; oversee program development and staff; collaborate to create program plan; implement programmatic changes as appropriate; prepare grant-funded budgets and monitor expenditures; prepare necessary reports per the grant requirements, update/revise instructional materials, guidelines, policies, and procedures; plan and collaborate with faculty, staff, administrators and community partners;


  • Perform initial vocational assessments of participants and develop employment/vocational plan with clients.
  • Data tracking and report completion, oversight of curriculum development, project evaluation, assessment of industry needs to inform project
  • Serve as liaison with Community based organizations, attends meetings with such organizations as needed
  • Plan Education Program and Program classes, via grant proposals submitted to the State Office for Federal funding.
  • Hire and supervise staff, interview and counsel prospective students, maintain Federal funding ledgers, order textbooks, submit interim and final reports and final reports and fulfill general
    recordkeeping requirements associated with all programs.
  • Research, plan and implement educational opportunities which address the needs of local industries/employers.
  • Promote Education Programs by speaking to and coordinating efforts with local services agencies, as well as by all other appropriate means.
  • Preview all funding opportunities and applications as possible support monies for program maintenance and expansion.
  • Pursuit financial support through grants and donations for the economically needy and educationally disadvantaged adults to ultimately establish a self-supporting Education Program.
  • Coordinate staff development by scheduling opportunities for the staff to earn staff development clock hours and/or continuing education units in the areas of method, content and personal growth.
  • Monitor current budgets and submit budget requests for following years.
  • Providing weekly reports for enrollment of patients in the program; aligning with key performance indicators and quality assurance measures
  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Required: Master’s degree in, Adult Education, Curriculum Instruction or closely related field
  • Must have experience in education, curriculum and instruction, teaching curriculum design, instructional theory, and collecting and analyzing data.
  • Must have instructional coordinators and curriculum experience professionals must have several years of teaching experience.
  • Professional Vocational Technical Administrator license:
    • Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL) Licensure of Adult Basic Education
      Teachers or Guidance Counselors requirements only
  • Must have a current valid US-issued driver’s license, and ability to provide a registered and insured automobile for work-related purposes.
  • Must be Cultural and Linguistic competent, Bilingual a plus; Haitian Creole, Portuguese Creole, Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, or Cambodian
